Bible Reading Notes : John's Gospel

By Iain Clements, 02 Jan 2017

I was talking to a member here at some point last year and he commented to me that he was struggling to find some consistantly helpful Bible reading notes. As it is the start of a brand new year I have decided to try and help him out and write some myself!

My aim is to write around 300 words of reflection on a short passage from John's gospel - working through the gospel from start to finish. These wont be polished essays, just the beginnings of some reflections to highlight key points and themes, and hopefully to point back to the passage itself and to Jesus.

Obviously, they aren't meant as a commentary as such (for detailed work on the verses look at Carson in the Pillar series, or John Calvin, or Leon Morris etc etc). It is also important to point out that if I say anything helpful it's probably because I've absorbed it from those sources (and others) over the years - but I'll try not to plagiarise!

I will try and put them on the site by the end of each evening so they are available for the next morning.
